MD TO RN Bridge to BSN

MD to RN –BSN program was created in response to the high demand from foreign physicians, and university graduates from other disciplines who wish to enter the nursing field .The program MD to RN-BSN in collaboration with Puerto Rican Universities affords them this opportunity.

FOR FOREIGN GRADUATED PHYSICIANS ( who are not nurses))
The path to seek a BSN in nursing is available by studying with an accredited university who will prepare and graduate you with a BSN in approximately 18-24 months ( depending in the student’s situation) it is a combined program the didactic part is online and for the clinical you have to travel and stay in Puerto Rico for extended periods of time ( at least twice) you graduate with a BSN in nursing which enables you to challenge the NCLEX exam, if successfully attained, you then obtain your R.N. license. If you wish to advance within the nursing field you may choose to continue towards your MSN. The BSN in nursing allows you to practice in any state of the American union (provided you approve the NCLEX) ,the BSN enables you to reach management positions and places you in the path to continue on towards a Nurse Practitioner designation ( Master). if you choose to pursue it..

FOR BACHELORS FROM OTHER DISCIPLINES
Graduated Dentists, Engineers, Physical Therapists, Psychologists, Midwives from South America, may qualify to join the MD to RN-BSN program however ,their school time may take longer, it will fluctuate according to each specific situation., the candidate will undergo the normal admission process to be admitted, every student is an individual, although, you will be joining the program MD to RN-BSN, the length of the course may be longer than the one of the doctor.

FOR LPN to BRIDGE TO RN-BSN
An L.P.N. licensed in U.S. can bridge to their R.N.- BSN through the MD to RN-BSN program .the length of their studies fluctuates according to each individual case. As with any other university each applicant is an individual. ADMISSION IS NOT GUARANTEED.

HOW TO APPLY:

• Download HNS application to BSN
• Download University- Admission application
• Download form W-9 fill it out, sign it and attach a copy of your Social security
• Download Form I-9 fill it out, sign it, and attach a copy of your immigration document even if you are an American born, permanent resident. Or asylee (these forms are a must)
• Credential Evaluation of your certificates from the university you graduated from
• Official translation of your original documents by a notary public
• Write a short statement “Why do you want to become a nurse”. Computer font size 10’
• CV, curriculum,or Resume.
• 2 recommendation letters original (preferably from a present employer) a good conduct police report is also accepted.
• Enclose a $ 365.00 money order to SYLU Enterprises (non refundable) mail this package
